Hi, I’m Bryan Peabody. I’m an Kentucky baseball historian and researcher.
I have a long history with baseball. From the time I was old enough to walk, I was enamored with baseball.
Growing up, I played every year through teeball, little league, Babe Ruth and various school teams until university where I was offered a scholarship.
Unfortunately, the dream of playing professionally never materialized. Since then, I have been active within the baseball community by being a member of and participating in SABR (the Society for American Baseball Research) and an open source software project called pybaseball.
On this site, I’m focused on Kentucky baseball history in general and have specific interests in players, managers and umpires from my hometown of Owensboro, Kentucky. I focus a lot of time and research on the first and only professional baseball league based in Kentucky, the Kitty League.
