Appointed Kentucky Colonel for historical Kentucky baseball research

I received news today that after researching and posting on this site about the Kitty League and the Owensboro Pirates/Oilers, it caught the eye of the governor of Kentucky.

Today, Andy Beshear, the current governor of Kentucky, has appointed me as a Kentucky Colonel. I couldn’t be happier to be recognized for the time and effort that I’ve put in but also that the Kitty League, and it’s teams, are getting interest so many years after the last game was played.
