The Mayfield Clothiers swamped the Owensboro Pirates here this afternoon in a loosely played game, winning out by a final count of 14 to 2.

Sweetland, former manager of the Clothiers, faced his former mates on the mound and was hit hard and often. The visitors collecting fourteen hits for a total of tweleve runs in seven and one-third innings before he was retired in favor of Helvey.

Cooper led in the hitting attack for the visitors, getting a double and four singles out of five trips to the plate.

The two teams meet here again on Thursday.
