Fluke Homer Beats Hoppers

Leftfielder Liddell of Hopkinsville sprained his ankle fielding a ball in the ninth inning today and the hit went for a home run to give Owensboro an 8 to 6 victory over the Hoppers. The fluke homer was hit by Clemens and came with two on base and two out. Liddell had previously put the Hoppers in front 6-5 with a triple with the bases loaded. Lyle Judy, of the Louisville Athletics and recently with Columbus, made his debut at second base for the Hopkinsville club.
