Hoppers Finally Win The Hopkinsville Hoppers earned their first victory of the half in six starts over Owensboro by a 10 to 6 score here today as Lambert led their vicious attack with three homers and a double in five trips to the plate. Sternberg also hit a circuit clout in addition to a double for the winners.

Summers coasted behind the hiting of his mates until rallied in the final two frames, scoring five runs and was relieved with two out in the ninth by Joiner, who pitched to only one man, retiring the side and ending the game.

Lambert hit his third homer with the bases loaded in the ninth. There were two on when he hit his first in the second inning and one on when he hit No. 2 in the eighth.
